Auto-Mate has the ability to extract phrases from messages so they can be used in various rule actions.
You can configure up to 5 different extractors. Each can be named to something appropriate.

Name:

Enter a descriptive name for the extracted text.

Extract Text From:
|
Choose where to extract the text from, Message Subject, Message Body, or Message Header
|

Search For:
|
Write description here...

|
Occurrence No.:
|
Set the occurrence of the phrase that you want to extract. The extractor will extract the occurrence that you set starting from the beginning of the Subject, message body, or message header.

Extract Text to...
|
After setting the Search For text, choose where to end your extraction here.

|
Extract ending characters
|
If you choose Extract Text to specific characters above, enter the ending characters here.

Select Message button
|
Use this button to open a new dialog that allows you to browse your inbox for messages to use for testing.

View Message
|
Shows selected test message.
|
|
|
|
ignore case
|
Choose to make your searches case insensitive.
|
|
|
|
Adjustments
|
After extracting your text phrase, select any of the following adjustments.

Test Extract
|
Use this button to run an test extraction. It will use the message you selected from your inbox. The results of the extract will be displayed in the Preview area.

You can use the extractions you configure in your rule actions. First make sure you check rule action "Extract Text", then choose your specific extraction, then it will become available in subsequent rule actions. In the example below, Order number is used to automatically name a filing folder.
